Melinda Buchheit is Montana Healthcare Foundation’s Communication Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the CEO. As a graduate of Montana State University’s School of Film and Photography, she brings her experience in media, marketing, and documentary storytelling to the job of sharing the work of the Foundation and its grantees with the public.
Melinda was raised in Darby, Montana, and after graduating from college in Bozeman, spent several years in Los Angeles pursuing a career in film production. Her longstanding interest in non-profits led her to complete a term of service as an AmeriCorp Vista at the Bresee Community Center in Koreatown, Los Angeles where she taught classes in documentary filmmaking, photography, and editing; and helped run a youth documentary film festival on social justice issues. Following her term with AmeriCorp, she worked for Paramount Pictures as an executive assistant in the Media and Creative Content Department working on films such as Flight, Pain & Gain, World War Z, Anchorman 2, and Noah.
