This past month, the Montana Healthcare Foundation received a $12 million gift from philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott. The gift is part of nearly $2 billion that she has granted over the past year to 343 organizations working to support the “voices and opportunities of people from underserved communities.”

This gift will support and further our work to improve the health of Montanans. We are honored and deeply appreciative of these new resources to support our work. As we look ahead to 2023 and beyond, Ms. Scott’s gift serves as an inspiring reminder of our commitment to work in partnership with organizations and tribes around the state on this challenging, critically important task.
