Michael V. Harrington is a Business Law and Business Ethics professor at the University of Montana College of Business. Before joining the full-time faculty ranks in fall 2014, he spent ten years as the associate dean at the College of Business. He graduated with high honors from the Univesity of Montana in 1986, earning a degree in business administration (emphases in accounting and finance). In 1990, he graduated with high honors from the University of Montana School of Law. He then practiced law for several years in the Bellevue, Washington, office of Davis Wright Tremaine, an international law firm. From 1992 until 2003, he held various legal and business positions in Butte with the Montana Power Company and Touch America, Inc. Mr. Harrington has been a member of the board of directors of First Security Bank of Missoula, a division of Glacier Bancorps since January 2005. He has served as board chair since July 2021. He served as MHCF Board of Trustees Chair from 2020 to 2021.
