Vanessa Tibbitts is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Nation and serves as the Senior Program Officer at the Montana Healthcare Foundation. Before joining the Foundation, she was the Program Leader of the American Indian Public Health Resource Center at North Dakota State University. She is a tribal college graduate from Oglala Lakota College and believes tribes hold the answers to addressing their public health needs. Vanessa has worked in public health for the last 18 years in collaboration with tribal nations across the country. She serves her community using the skills she has acquired professionally, through academia, and through her Elders for the future of Indigenous people. Vanessa recently moved to the Bozeman area and is excited to visit the local trails with her two dogs, Ash and Pepper.
