Privacy Policy

(Updated January 2021)

WE RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY

Any personal information you provide to us, including and similar to your name, address, telephone number, and email address, will not be released, sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of our organization except as noted below.

The Montana Healthcare Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. The following will help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the personal information you provide. When you visit our website, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

INFORMATION SECURITY

We make reasonable attempts to protect the data you submit to us, both during transmission and once we receive them. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we store these data in a secure and encrypted environment, we cannot guarantee their absolute security.

WEBSITE VISITORS

We log our website users’ IP addresses (the internet address of a computer) to understand which pages our website users visit, how long visitors spend there, which files they download, and the type of technology they use. We use this data to determine which parts of the sites are of most interest to our audiences and help ensure our website works well with a wide variety of hardware and software.

EMAIL UPDATES

When you sign up for our email updates, we ask you to provide basic information, including your name, email, and interest areas. This information is collected so we can send you updates and announcements and targeted information on the topics you are interested in. This information is gathered in a secure, encrypted form.

Our subscriber’s information is stored indefinitely on Campaign Monitor’s servers. Read more about Campaign Monitor’s privacy policy. We track our emails’ performance using Campaign Monitor metrics, which monitors email opens and interactions (such as link clicks and unsubscribe rates). We do not sell our email lists or share them with other organizations for marketing purposes.

UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can update your preferences or unsubscribe by clicking the ‘Preferences’ or ‘Unsubscribe’ links included in all emails. You can also update your information or stop receiving emails by contacting us with your changes. Please note that by unsubscribing, you are opting out of receiving any future email blasts from us, including newsletters and grant-related updates.

THIRD-PARTY SITES

We will not sell your personal information. We do not contract with any advertising or marketing agencies to gather individual or group profile data on our visitors based on personal profiles. We do not target for-profit advertising to visitors.

GRANT MANAGEMENT

When doing business with or applying for a grant from us, we ask you to provide information, including your name, address, contact information, organization, and company details. This information is gathered in a secure, encrypted form in SmartSimple, our grants management system. This information is collected to determine your funding eligibility, incorporate you into our system as a grantee, contact you with reminders and updates, and make grant and services payments. Your contact information will also be collected in our email lists so that we can send you updates. By providing this information, you agree to receive our email updates.

The name and email addresses of our subscribers are stored indefinitely on the servers of SmartSimple, on our behalf, to manage our grantees and those we conduct financial interactions with. Read more about SmartSimple’s privacy policy. We do not sell our users’ information. We do not share grant proposal information unless we have received approval from our grant applicants. After we award a grant, information about the organization that received the grant, the project name, the grant’s amount, and a summary of the project are made public on our website.

REMEMBER THE RISKS WHENEVER YOU USE THE INTERNET

While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. In addition, other Internet sites or services that may be accessible through our site have separate data and privacy practices independent of us, and therefore we disclaim any responsibility or liability for their policies or actions. Please contact those vendors and others directly if you have any questions about their privacy policies. For any other information, please contact us.
